CALIFORNIA MEDI-CAL NOW ON CADX©

We are pleased to announce that you can now use CADX to submit attachments to Medi-CAL when you do your billing or you answer their RTDs. Just submit your bill through your clearinghouse and use the ACN that CADX assigns in your electronic billing and you are there. CADX has developed a Resource Guide which will show all the steps you need to go through to bill Medi-CAL and have electronic attachments.

BLUE CROSS OF CALIFORNIA PUBLISHES NETWORK REFERENCE GUIDE LISTING TWENTY-NINE FORMS APPROVED FOR CADX© TRANSMISSION

Today, Blue Cross of California published a reference guide on our site of twenty-nine forms, across all their product lines, which are approved for submission through CADX©. Please see the CADX© On-Line Assistant on our Secure Site for more details. CADX© has been offered as an attachment solution by Blue Cross since February 14, 2005. This includes Blue Cross of California and BC Life and Health Insurance Company. If you need information on how to submit attachments to Blue Cross or how to become a CADX© user.

LA CARE HEALTH PLAN JOINS CADX©

AllHealthLogic, LLC, is proud to announce that LA Care Health Plan has joined our list of Payer’s using CADX©. L.A. Care Health Plan is a non-profit, community accountable health maintenance organization (HMO) that serves more than 750,000 Los Angeles County residents who participate in the Medi-Cal and Healthy Families programs. L.A. Care also administers the Healthy Kids program, which is offered by L.A. Care Health Plan and is sponsored by First 5 LA and the Children's Health Initiative of Greater Los Angeles. They are the nation’s largest public health plan and also one of California's largest health plans.

This article can be found in the CADX© Information area of our web site. The article is entitled, Electronic Claims Attachment Processing. It was written by John R. Cochran III, FACHE, and was published in the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s magazine, Revenue Cycle Strategist, (January 2005 issue, pages 1-3). In this article, Mr. Cochran examines the impact of the claim attachments problem on the Providence Health System – Southern California and discusses how CADX© is used to address that problem.

Important Notice

If you are a provider and plan to scan images via this portal, you will need to install our certificate authority root key. This must be done in order to successfully run the scanning interface provided on this portal.

Once you install the certificate authority root key, you will still need to install the scanning interface. The first time you attempt to scan a document, you will be presented with a confirmation dialog. Please click "Ok" to install the scanning interface. This will only need to be done once. Subsequent scanning sessions will use the already installed scanning interface.

If you did not install the certificate root key, you will receive a different confirmation dialog and under some versions of Internet Explorer you may not be able to install the scanning interface at all.
